It is a great love story, and the tragedy at the end makes it really sad. It is a story which contains this classical cliché of poor and rich social classes. We also have conflicts in the story like: class, occupation, ethnicity, parents, personalities, which makes the story to such a great tragedy. Jennifer is the one who comes from a poor family but she has worked very hard to in a good school and to do what she loves the music. Her ethnicity is Italian and she is very smart and works toward her dream of a scholarship to study music in Paris, which is one of the best schools for music. Whereas, Oliver comes from a rich family and his father is a banker. He wants to study law at Harvard, he also plays hockey and is a very good in it. Since the beginning of the story we can see that Jennifer and Oliver have different characters. He is a serious guy and she not that serious; she likes to joke around and makes fun of him, which makes him feel unsecure with her. Even thought they have all those differences between them they still manage to be together and overcome those social clichés.
