In this poem the author writes about the human body as if it were a house, and that a person cannot do anything without their body. The author uses a lot of synonyms to describe her body like the word horse because in a way we are wild like a horse. We ride, which means that we travel to different places. Also she describes the body as something very powerful, which enables us to do things that the brain cannot do. Also words like haunt which stands for going hunting. We investigate things with the senses of our body. The poem is like a song where words are repeated. The word fall is also used to explain virtues of the body like: fall asleep, fall in love, and as well fall as the season. With the word fallen the author wants to say that what would she do if she is dead and does not have her body anymore. Names in this poem are represented with big letters. “Wind for an eye” by which is meant the scarf of the body. The entire poem she makes like in form of questions which she makes to herself.
